None of them knew the color of the sky

Despite living only three hours away, I had never set eyes upon the Niagara River Gorge before a cold and misty morning this September. It was early Saturday when we gathered at the Whirlpool Rapids State Park. From the top of the cliff walls, the Gorge unfolded in a panorama of exploding water 300 feet below.
